Kezy: Outdoor Meditation Chair
How can Kebony use its outdoor material to connect with users?
A brief was set by Norwegian timber producer Kebony, to come up with a new design featuring the benefits of the sustainable, stiff and weather resistant material. Having wanted to work on furniture, I tried to think of the way we use our environments both indoors and outdoors to find new ways of using outside spaces that may otherwise not be considered.
The outcome of research and ideation was a meditation stool, designed with the outdoors in mind by making use of new materials. It adjusts to the user, provides beneficial posture and can be easily folded and left outside with minimal weathering.
